Stamping with Friends: Emboss Resist Technique

I love this technique and use it a lot. This post is for the Stamping with Friends Technique Blog Hop Jan 2023.

You can do this on any paper and then paint/color over it and it brings the paper color through.

You start with using the Embossing Buddy on the paper. This helps prevent Embossing powder staying on places you don't want it.

I then used a Uniquely Artistic stamp in versamark Ink

Then sprinkle clear embossing powder onto card shaking off excess. I sometimes use a small paint brush to get off excess close to the stamp areas. If you happen to brush off some of the stamp area that is ok. Just sprinkle on more powder and shake off excess again.

Then use heating gun to heat the powdered stamp areas. When heated it will be come shiny. Depending on the color of the paper, sometimes it is hard to see.

Here is some pictures on other paper.

For the card above I used the Stampin' Up Blending Brushes and brushed Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, and Tahitian Tide Ink over the front of the cards in different areas. You can use any ink, water color, and paint to cover card. The stamp will then show though bringing the paper color through.

I then stamped on the inside of the card. I did not put in a quote because I was handwriting a message in.
